I am a mother of two boys, ages 5 and 7 years old. When my older son encountered the "terrible two's", I was determined to find an effective discipline method. As a modern day parent with an active lifestyle (grocery store, swimming pool, playgroups, restaurants), I am in need of a portable "time-out" spot. Before using Take Out Time Out, the "time-out" spot was the bedroom. I was forced to stop what I was doing and monitor, relocate my other child if they were playing in the room together, move toys, turn off the TV, etc. Using the TOTO mat has made the "time-out" convenient, less time consuming and more effective.

If I am cooking dinner and one of my boys shows unacceptable behavior, I just place the mat on the floor next to me in the kitchen. No need for me to be interrupted. If I am working on the computer, I just place the mat next to me at my desk.
